Humanity64 is a religion of appreciation — of time, space, humanity, and the Earth and all of its inhabitants. Your best way to learn more is to explore the different ongoing “projects” of this site. As you do that, you’ll understand the way the Humanity64 chessboard can be used to venerate each 15-minute slice of time of your waking day, in terms of all of the things, events, and individuals that have helped shape our world today. You’ll learn (someday) how the chessboard can be adapted for use as a memory palace to assist you in memorizing whatever you need to memorize.
You’ll learn how Humanity64 maps the Earth into 64 squares, and how each square can be subdivided into another 64 squares, with a cascade of 8 squares representing your exact location on Earth.
You learn the Humanity64 calendar, in which each day of the year is mapped to a period of the history of the Universe, in which events occurred that have made our present world possible, with a focus on events that help build awareness of our common humanity, the uniqueness of our planetary home, and our kinship with our co-inhabitants of our Earth.
For every species in existence today, you’ll learn when in history your common ancestor with that species first achieved consciousness,. and you’ll get an estimate of how many “greats” bring you back to your shared great, great, . . ., grandparent, with your cat, your dog, and the birds in the sky, not to mention the birds other xth cousins of yours that are in your refrigerator and on the way to your plate.
